Academic Related Organizations

  • Brain Bowl
    Brain Bowl provides students the opportunity to participate in intense and exciting academic quiz competitions. Campus teams compete against other schools answering questions on numerous topics, “Jeopardy” style. Advisor: Jim Meier
  • CF Bands
    CF Bands perform a wide variety of music styles and types, including jazz, rock, folk and classical. The Patriot Blues jazz band performs stylistic forms from Dixieland roots to Swing to modern jazz/rock hybrids. The Patriot Combo provides serious jazz students the opportunity to perform on and off campus in a small, more free-form ensemble, and to provide the core pit band for musical theatre productions in conjunction with the Vocal Music and Theatre departments.   • Community of Scholars Program
    The Community of Scholars offers diverse opportunities for students to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom. Throughout the academic year, field trips are scheduled to provide educational exposure to social and cultural activities and events. This organization is chartered at the Ocala Campus.   • “Imprints,” Literary & Arts Magazine
    “Imprints” is CF’s award-winning student literary magazine. The magazine is published every spring with the best of student art, photography and creative writing. Advisor: Melissa Schuck
  • Musical Theatre Ensemble
    The Patriot Singers Concert Choir and the CF Musical Theatre Ensemble are vocal music ensembles that perform all forms of vocal music, including classical, Broadway, jazz and popular. The groups perform on-campus concerts and shows each year and occasionally sing at off-campus functions. The Concert Choir is open to all students regardless of major or performance background. The Musical Theatre Ensemble requires an audition each semester. Scholarship assistance may be available to students in vocal music activities. Advisor: Jason Longtin
  • The Patriot Press
    The Patriot Press is an award-winning student news publication of the College of Central Florida. The website is continuously updated. Advisor: Melissa Schuck
  • Phi Theta Kappa
    Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in American higher education with more than 1.5 million members. Phi Theta Kappa recognizes and encourages scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunities for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate, for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.   • Student Physical Therapist Assistant
    The SPTA Club endeavors to promote the field of physical therapy both on the CF campus and in the community. Membership provides a social as well as academic network for students while pursuing the field of Physical Therapy. Advisor: Patti Hooker
  • Theatre/Drama
    The theatre program at CF provides students with opportunities to develop and enhance abilities and potentials within the realm of performance. More than 125 students each year perform on the CF stage in major performances, ranging from Shakespeare to Neil Simon, and in dozens of one-acts, student-directed plays and duet scenes. Plays are open-audition and supported by course work in technical theatre and performance. Scholarships are available for dedicated and talented students. Advisor: Nonalee Davis

Diversity & Culture Clubs

  • African-American Student Union
    AASU explores, reinforces and celebrates the African-American heritage, culture and noteworthy contributions. Through open communication and exciting activities, AASU works as a support group by providing mentors and role models, a central network of information for the community, and a link to other college campuses seeking a positive cultural awareness exchange. Advisor: Keith Bracey
  • Gender & Sexuality Alliance
    The GSA is dedicated to providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ people and their allies. In terms of politics, culture, and our daily lives, we discuss issues unique to the LGBTQ+ community. We also aim to be loyal allies to other marginalized groups and social justice organizations around campus. Advisor: Nancy Keefer
  • International Club
    The International Club promotes diversity and global understanding through activities that integrate international students into the academic and social life of CF and the broader Ocala community. These activities include cultural and educational programs involving CF International and domestic students, faculty, staff and community members. This club is open to all students — international as well as domestic. Advisor: Mayori Matos Camacho
  • Performing Arts Club
    The CF drama club is a social group hoping to bring more awareness to the Visual and Performing Arts Department and to expose others to theatre, music and art on campus and in the community. Open to all students! Advisor: Kelly Ryan
  • S.W.O.R.D. Gaming Club
    The goal of the S.W.O.R.D. (Students Who Occasionally Roll Dice) Gaming Club is to create a safe and inviting environment for students to gather and enjoy a plethora of tabletop, card and video games. This club is for all students to explore and expand their love for all different types of gaming in a social environment. Club leadership will meet on a biweekly basis to ensure adequate communication.

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes
    The mission of CF FCA is spreading the Gospel to College of Central Florida Ocala Campus students. We want to equip students with knowledge of Scripture, encourage them to join a local church and empower them to live Christ-centered lives in the college environment.

  • The Petals To My Rose
    The Petals To My Rose club offers spiritual healing and assistance to those in search of self love and forgiveness. Members who join are subject to gaining knowledge in self development, improvement, respect and discipline. Each semester, club events include gospel showcases, mental health workshops, fundraisers and much more.

  • Business Entrepreneurship Club
    The Business Entrepreneurship Club aims to provide a channel by which students can access relevant entrepreneurial resources, network with prominent community entrepreneurs, and share ideas. The club is dedicated to furthering understanding about new or small businesses and about entrepreneurship in all businesses. Advisors: Dave Lanzilla and Stephen Vaughn
  • CF Veterans Association
    The club provides opportunity for CF students to support veterans and their families while they strive for success academically and reintegrate into our community. Advisor: Fernando “Fred” Velez
  • Chess Club
    Welcome to Chess Club. All are invited. Learn Chess. Play Chess. Teach Chess. “When you see a good move, look for a better one.” Advisor: Scott Smith
  • The Code Collective
    The mission of the Code Collective is to enhance the Computer Science skills of CF students. We provide our students with workshops focused on programming, tech interviews, and career development. As a whole, the Code Collective aims to create a diverse and inclusive tech community at CF.

  • Cyber Sentinel Club
    The Cyber Sentinel club is a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to pursuing excellence in ethical hacking, cybersecurity, and information technology. Our mission is to empower members with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills to protect digital assets and infrastructure against cyber threats. Members gain expertise in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and cyber defense strategies through hands-on workshops, real-world simulations, and collaborative projects. The club fosters a community of curious and ethical hackers committed to using their skills for the greater good, promoting cybersecurity awareness, and contributing to a safer digital world.

  • Engineering and Technology Club
    This club is for any student interested in Engineering and Technology stuff. We explore different areas of both engineering and technology to combine the theory and technology in projects that are hands-on and fun to do. The projects are brought to the club meetings at the beginning of each semester and voted upon by the members. Pending funds available we choose one or two projects and purchase the materials to assemble using available resources at CF. Each club member will be assigned tasks to help complete the projects based on their specific skills and ability to complete the project. The members also learn other technologies such as soldering, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, machining, etc. in a lab setting using the Engineering Technology labs to complete the projects or to just learn for fun! Come on and join in on the fun by being a part of the Engineering and Technology club. Advisor: Saley Abraham
  • Model UN
    The CF Model United Nations encompasses cultural understanding and global knowledge for students and people throughout our community. CF Model United Nations hosts an MUN conference for local high school students and aids the in-class MUN simulations on campus. The ultimate goal for the club is to foster global leadership and diplomatic skills for all students who participate. Advisor: John Anene
  • Pre-Dental Association
    The PDA focuses on promoting oral health awareness and interest in the field of dentistry among students. Membership provides the opportunity to participate in club events, engage in skill-building and networking activities, and support the community through oral health outreach.

  • SkillsUSA
    SkillsUSA is a United States career and technical student organization serving more than 395,000 high school, college and middle school students and professional members enrolled in training programs in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. The motto is “Preparing for leadership in the world of work.” The CF Club participates in regional and national competitions. Advisor: Sam Ajlani
  • STEM Club
    The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics is dedicated to introducing its members to the wide variety of career options that are possible in the STEM fields. In addition to engaging in on campus activities, club members will have the opportunity to tour science facilities, engage in science practitioners and the possibility internship opportunities during the summers.   • Student Nurses Association
    SNA helps members who are ADN and pre-nursing students address the many facets of the nursing profession. The club offers programs representative of current professional interest and concern, as well as ways to help improve health care and resolve related social issues for the community. Social & Political Clubs

  • Young Politicians Club
    The purpose of this organization is to provide an opportunity for students and faculty of the College of Central Florida to better understand the effects that politics have on our daily lives, to encourage community involvement and help better educate the community in the discipline of politics, promote and nurture a personal passion for political involvement, instill a sense of self-confidence, to use creative thinking to address issues of both personal and community interest, and to help students better express their opinions on issues close to them through the use of structured discussions and other appropriate activities. Sports & Wellness Clubs

  • Certified Buckets
    Certified Buckets is a basketball club that welcomes players of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned pros. We focus on having fun, staying active, and enjoying the game in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills or just shoot some hoops, Certified Buckets is all about good times on the court for everyone! Join us every Wednesday on the CF outdoor courts for some fun and friendly competition. Advisor: John D. Ash
  • CF Equestrian Club
    CF’s Equestrian Club expands experiential learning by hosting guest speakers, organizing field trips, and providing networking opportunities for both equine and non-equine majors. Advisor: Angie Adkin
  • Soccer Club
    Soccer Club promotes an active lifestyle where students can play pick-up games on the CF soccer field and participate in tournaments. There are also gatherings for fans of soccer for watch parties of important matchups around the world, and video game tournaments playing the EA Sports FC game. This is a great club to meet other soccer fans and continue to grow the sports popularity on the CF campus. Advisor: Edwin Garcia
  • Table Tennis Club
    Whether you’re a seasoned player or a curious beginner, our club welcomes all students eager to have fun, enhance their skills and compete in exciting tournaments. Beyond the table, we’re committed to giving back to our community through various projects and activities. Dive into the sport, meet new friends and be part of something greater.   • Wellness
    Although not a club, CF also offers free wellness classes and has facilities for exercise and strength training. Advisor: Sharon Altany

They have the opportunity to work campus and community events, promoting various programs and services.     The Student Activities Board, the central governing student organization on campus, initiates and coordinates activities to enhance students’ connection to CF and campus life, as well as encouraging participation in and supporting campus clubs and organizations.   • Book Club
    The purpose of this club is to share ideas regarding books. The group meets regularly to discuss and share information regarding books and literature.
  • Chess Club
    This club will help you learn how to play chess, think before moving, become more strategic, and have fun while playing chess.
  • Creative Writing Club
    This club gives students the opportunity to explore their own creative writing skills, while learning tips to improve their writing. The club provides students a place to share their own works, as well as discuss techniques that will encourage their creativity and expression.
  • Drama Club
    Drama Club is a space where creative students gather to celebrate a love of theatre through acting, viewing, reading and discussion of drama.
  • Scholars Club
    This club encourages intellectual rigor and learning academic skills. Scholars Club meets weekly to read pertinent authors, develop personal and scholarly competence, and work on writing and research projects including publishing our journal, “Within the Open Mind.”

Sports & Wellness Clubs

  • Spin Club
    Build muscle, strength and endurance while enjoying a variety of music from of Club, EDM, Latino and Hip Hop! Fitness for every-body, this is an all-levels class. Come for the fun, leave with the rewards!
  • Yoga Club
    Our CF Levy Yoga Club helps students to take a few moments out of their busy schedules to focus on their well-being. We go through relaxation techniques, some meditation, and of course, yoga poses. Yoga has been known to boost mental clarity, reduce stress, and improve overall health.
