CF International

Foreign Transcripts Credential Evaluation

Credential evaluation of your academic records earned outside the United States is required. You must have your foreign transcripts and diploma evaluated and sent to CF. Send your documents to one of the following evaluation agencies for an evaluation. If your documents are not in English, you will also need to have an official English translation.

Minimum Requirement: High School Transcript and Diploma “document by document” evaluation. An official document-by-document evaluation of the applicant’s high school or secondary school transcripts and diploma/certificate from International Education Evaluations, Inc., Josef Silny & Associates, SpanTran, World Education Services or any active members of NACES. If the documents are not in English, the applicant will also need to have an official English translation. The cost of the evaluation and translation are the responsibility of the applicant. If the applicant graduated from an accredited high school inside the United States, then an evaluation is not required and the official transcripts may be sent directly to CF.

Optional Requirement: College/University – “course by course” evaluation

If you have earned credits at a non-US college or university that you would like to transfer to CF, you must apply for credential evaluation of your college transcript of records. If you’re applying for bachelor’s degree, you must include GPA calculation. If your documents are not in English, you will also need to have an official English translation. The cost of the evaluation and translation are the responsibility of the student.

Transfer of college credits earned from institutions outside the United States is optional but can only be done during initial application. CF may no longer process or add credits to your student record in the middle of your study at CF. If you elect to not transfer your previous college coursework from a foreign college or university, please send a written statement to international@cf.edu indicating that you are choosing to not transfer your credits and understand that you will not receive credit for previous college coursework. This must be done prior to admission.

Applicants who previously attended a non-U.S. college or university and want to have their postsecondary coursework considered for transfer to CF must submit an official course-by-course evaluation prior to the first semester of enrollment. If the documents are not in English, the applicant will also need to have an official English translation. The cost of the evaluation and translation are the responsibility of the applicant. CF accepts course-by-course evaluations from International Education Evaluations, Inc., Josef Silny & Associates, SpanTran, World Education Services or any active members of NACES.
