The College of Central Florida Webber Gallery presents “The Gap Between Art and Life Exhibition” Aug. 7-Sept. 7. This inaugural competitive exhibition will display installation art biannually. A jury panel selected eight diverse artworks by four different artists from the 89 entries submitted to the competition. The chosen installations will allow visitors to interact with the gallery space in new and unique ways. The jury panel consisted of Leslie Hammond, president of Artistic Eye Fine Art Services, and Victoria Billig, assistant director of the Appleton Museum of Art.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and college observed holidays. For more information call 352-854-2322, ext. 1552.

The public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, Aug. 25 from 5-7 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free.
