The Visual Artists’ Society presents “Summer Spotlight XXVI” at the College of Central Florida Webber Center Gallery May 15-July 20. This biannual exhibit will display the talent and imagination of a variety of Central Florida artists as presented by the Visual Artists’ Society.
The exhibition will be judged by Ronald Gibbons, a full-time painter who lives in Neptune Beach, and has exhibited paintings nationally and internationally. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from the Kansas City Art Institute and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Ohio University. Gibbons will select works for awards including Best in Show, first through fourth places and Honorable Mentions.
Summer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and college observed holidays. For more information call 352-854-2322, ext. 1552.
The public is invited to the opening reception and awards ceremony on Friday, May 26 from 5-7 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free.
