Temp to Pro: Pathways to Permanent Certification

The Temp to Pro initiative is a pathway highlighting several college-credit courses available to K-12 teachers who are on temporary teaching certificates. Taking these courses enable those with temporary credentials to become qualified to earn their Professional Educator Certificate.

Teachers in the K-12 system who are on a temporary certification should consult their statement of eligibility from the state and their certification office at their district to better understand which courses they need to take. The courses offered at CF cover content important for pursuing a professional certificate in teaching, such as: classroom management, instructional and assessment strategies, foundations of reading concepts and teaching english as a second language.
