About
The Associate in Science degree in Cardiovascular Technology offers two tracks: invasive cardiovascular technology and non-invasive cardiovascular technology. Each track in the program focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to become either an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and seek employment in the appropriate clinical setting.
Program participants in the Invasive track and Non-Invasive track, will be eligible to take the Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) examination for RCIS: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or RCS: Registered Cardiac Sonographer in the last semester of their program. The appropriate credential will be awarded after the student passes the examination and presents the Cardiac Credentialing International with their completed Associate in Science degree in Cardiovascular Technology.
This program is pending accreditation and the first class is anticipated to begin spring 2025.
