About
This certificate teaches the basic accounting and finance skills necessary for jobs in accounting firms, retail stores, hospitals, commercial industries and many other industries requiring employees with basic finance and accounting skills. Your required courses provide you with a solid understanding of accounting practices and theory. Students receive both an overview and an in-depth understanding of statements, balance sheets and cash flows. Income tax, pension plans and investments are also covered. You also have the opportunity to study QuickBooks and sit for the QuickBooks Certification Exam.
CF’s Accounting program prepares students to enter the field as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk or accounting assistant. These people generally perform routine calculations, typing duties, such as preparing invoices, payrolls and a variety of record-keeping tasks.
This program can be completed in one year if students attend classes on a full-time basis. Four of the six courses can be completed online.
