Free Admission to the Appleton Sept. 21 with Smithsonian Museum Day Program

The Appleton Museum of Art, College of Central Florida, is pleased to participate in the Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day on Saturday, Sept. 21.
This program grants free admission to participating museums and cultural institutions across the country. Download your ticket, good for up to two guests, and present your paper or e-ticket anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sept. 21. On view at the Appleton during this time, “Stephanie Brown: Do Not Bleach,” a series of mixed-media installations, encourages melanin positivity; “Urban Chatter: Sharon Kerry-Harlan,” featuring art quilts and mixed-media works of art that meld abstraction, African masks, and reference from the Harlem jazz scene; and “Florida Impressions: Relief Prints by Leslie Peebles.”
Guests may also visit the ARTSpace for art-making activities for the whole family.
