The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Principles of Accreditation Standard 8.1 (Student Achievement) requires institutions to identify, evaluate, and publish goals and outcomes for student achievement appropriate to the institution’s mission, the nature of the students it serves, and the kinds of programs offered.
About College Effectiveness Indicators
The CEI Report has been the major reporting vehicle for determining how effective the college has been in achieving its goals and objectives for over 20 years. Each indicator is measured against the benchmark year column for the term of the plan.

1.1.1 Student Learning Outcomes data is collected each fall from faculty and evaluated in the spring semester. The changes necessary to improve student learning are then incorporated into the instruction for the following fall semester to provide a fall to fall comparison on the five general education SLOs: Critical Reasoning, Communication, Quantitative and Analytical Reasoning, Global Socio-Cultural Responsibility, and Computer and Information Skills.
