CF Theatre Presents ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame’

News Release
The College of Central Florida’s Musical Theatre Department announces its upcoming production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” a new musical inspired by Victor Hugo’s novel with songs from the Disney film. This captivating performance, featuring music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and based on the book by Peter Parnell, promises to bring a spectacular blend of storytelling and melody to the CF Theatre stage.
“This dark tale follows Quasimodo’s struggle and punishment on a journey to discover the true monster of Notre Dame,” said Nonalee Davis, CF assistant professor of theatre and the play’s director. “The college is proud to have several departments represented onstage, from a full choir and orchestration to large dance numbers and detailed set design.”
Performances are scheduled from Thursday, April 4, through Saturday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee show Sunday, April 7, at 3 p.m. The shows will take place at the Dassance Fine Arts Center, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala.
Tickets are priced at $12 for adults and $6 for non-CF students. CF students, faculty and staff are invited to attend free of charge with a valid I.D.
