Renowned political analyst Dr. Susan MacManus will offer nonpartisan insights on the American presidential election at the College of Central Florida Stearns Speaker Series Monday, Sept. 16. Join us in the Stearns Learning Resources Center at 12:30 p.m. for the 2024 Stearns Speaker Series presentation, “Election 2024: Generational Change in Florida.”
“The speaker series provides an opportunity for the college community and citizens in Marion and the surrounding counties to meet and hear from distinguished Americans,” said Cliff Stearns, who established the Friends of Cliff Stearns Endowed Chair through a gift to the CF Foundation in December 2020. The series aims to bring national and regional speakers on history, political science and technology to the CF campus to benefit both students and the community.
Registration is highly encouraged. Secure your spot today by RSVPing below.
An author and retired distinguished professor of political science from University of South Florida, MacManus believes the American presidential election cycle is one of the most hyped, consequential processes in which we all can be involved. She will share her expertise on current election issues and trends, including the growing political clout of millennials and Gen Zers, generational difference in candidate preferences, contrasting issues, voter turnout and media reliance.
