We provide a lot of information in this presentation. Some applicants find it helpful to complete one section at a time and take a break between sections. This makes the information easier to digest!
Central Florida Community College (CFCC) is located at 3001 College Road (Post Office Box 1388), Ocala, FL 34478-1388; the phone number is 352-273-2111. (See campus map.) CFCC maintains an open door admission policy (this means that individuals who have a high school diploma or GED certificate will be admitted to the college) and consistently strives to provide programs beneficial to all students. The college website includes information about the college, admission requirements, an application to the college, and information on financial aid opportunities. Students should explore financial aid options and apply for financial aid well before beginning the program. For gerneal college admission questions go to the Enrollment Service Center, Bryant Student Union, Room 102.
The LPN-ADN Bridge option is offered on the Ocala campus. It is begins in May and ends the next May. It is a one-year intense program leading to an Associate in Science Degree in Nursing. The Bridge option has been designed to validate and build upon the licensed practical nurse’s (LPN) education. The Florida Board of Nursing has approved the program and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 500, Atlanta, GA (404) 975-5000.) has accredited it. In order to progress in the program, graduate, and be eligible to apply for licensure as a registered nurse, including taking the National Council Licensure Examination (NCELX-RN), you must attain a grade of “C” or better in all courses, nursing and non-nursing, that are a part of the program (for NUR-prefix nursing courses a “C” is 75%).
