Programs of Study
CFCC offers a variety of educational options to meet your academic and training needs. Programs of Study range in number of credits and time-to-completion requirements, and fall into the following categories:
- The Associate in Arts degree (AA) is designed for students who plan to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree. Click here to view our Liberal Arts and Sciences website. See Associate in Arts Degree Requirements for more information. Also see CLAST. See the Student Advising

- The Associate in Science degree (AS) is designed for students who wish to enter the workforce in a skilled field. Some limited transfer into bachelor’s degree programs is available.
- The College Credit certificate provides students with technical skills required for a specific area of study. Each college credit certificate applies to a corresponding Associate in Science degree program.
- The Applied Technology diploma (AT) provides students with entry-level courses in a specific area of study. These courses can usually be applied toward an Associate in Science degree program.
- The Postsecondary Adult Vocation certificates (PSAV) provides students with broad entry-level courses and technical skills in a specific area of study. Many of these certificates can be applied to a corresponding Associate in Science degree program.
