Programs of Study

CFCC offers a variety of educational options to meet your academic and training needs.  Programs of Study range in number of credits and time-to-completion requirements, and fall into the following categories:

  • The Associate in Arts degree (AA) is designed for students who plan to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree.   Click here to view our Liberal Arts and Sciences website. See Associate in Arts Degree Requirements for more information. Also see CLAST. See the Student Advising Department for articulation sheets.

  • The Associate in Science degree (AS) is designed for students who wish to enter the workforce in a skilled field.  Some limited transfer into bachelor’s degree programs is available.

  • The College Credit certificate provides students with technical skills required for a specific area of study.  Each college credit certificate applies to a corresponding Associate in Science degree program.

  • The Applied Technology diploma (AT) provides students with entry-level courses in a specific area of study.  These courses can usually be applied toward an Associate in Science degree program.
