The Computer Information Technology program trains individuals for employment in a wide variety of computer positions in business, industry, and government. It provides basic skills in hardware configuration, troubleshooting and computer programming, as well as extensive exposure to a full range of software applications for personal computers, including spreadsheets and database programs.
Several industry certifications can be earned throughout the program. Graduates of this program can expect to be employed as microcomputer technicians, microcomputer coordinators, help-desk agents, network administrators, computer-training coordinators, and in other positions.
Additionally, the Computer Information Technology program prepares students to enter the Management Information Systems track of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Business and Organizational Management program.
