Bobbi Jordan was born in Washington, D.C., and spent her first twenty-eight years on the East Coast. She got her B.A. in Acting from The Catholic University of America, and her M.A. in Directing from The University of Maryland.
While teaching at The University of Maryland, she was the moderator of several local T.V. programs, including "The New Theatre" for WRC (NBC) in Washington. This program was nominated for an Emmy.
Bobbi acted in over 40 productions in the D.C. area, toured with National Players, and directed and/or choreographed 20+ plays before moving to California.
Remaining in California for thirty years, she continued as an acting coach in Los Angeles and San Diego. Two of her former students are Oscar and Tony Award winners. Most recently, she spent fourteen years in the Theatre Arts Department of Grossmont Community College in San Diego, where she was involved in over thirty productions in the position of director, actress, choreographer or costumer.
She believes that the art of theatre is a spiritual journey to the very heart of the human condition, and that when ventured on with honesty, can change ideas and lives.
