Prescription for Success (PFS) Program Requirements

  • Commitment to attend CF until completion of course work for either an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree
  • Student must be enrolled in CROP prior to their senior year in high school.
  • Overall High School GPA of 2.5
  • Graduate of a Marion County high school
  • Completed PFS Application submitted before deadline date
  • Attendance at PFS Orientation. (parent/guardian and student required to attend)
  • Attendance at The Life of a College Student. (parent/guardian and student required to attend)
  • Attendance at CF College Preview Night
  • Attendance at College Goal Sunday or similar financial aid workshop.
  • Participation and successful completion of a specially designed program during the student’s senior year in high school. The program will include instruction in the following areas: how to complete a CF college admission application, how to complete scholarship applications, how to complete FAFSA and other financial aid forms, test taking strategies, study skills, leadership skills, etiquette seminars (class room, social and business), and CPT preparation.  As part of the program student will be provided mentoring, academic and enrollment advisement.
  • Take college placement exams (ACT, CPT, SAT) by scheduled dates
  • Attend Project EAGLE Summer Program (PFS students who test into remedial classes) and attend advising and registration as well as orientation events as specified by the PFS Coordinator.
  • Complete CF Scholarship Application and all other scholarship applications provided by PFS coordinator
  • Attend PFS scheduled classes and meetings
  • Meet twice a semester with PFS Coordinator
  • Obtain at least a 2.0 GPA the first semester at CF and a 2.5 GPA in each subsequent semester
  • Enroll for at least 12 hours fall and spring semesters, unless exception is approved by PFS coordinator
  • Receive award of not more than 48 credit hours
  • Participate in campus activities & organizations and other activities/events as assigned by PFS Coordinator    
  • Abide by the CF Code of Student Conduct.  Violations of the Code may subject the student to loss of PFS scholarship privileges and further disciplinary sanctions.
