College Reach-Out Program

The College Reach-Out Program is a state-funded program that provides focused educational and enrichment opportunities for students in grades 6 through 12 who might otherwise be unlikely to seek admission to a postsecondary institution.
CROP provides academic counseling;tutoring; after-school and summer programs; college admission guidance; scholarship availability and financial aid information; mentoring; workshops on FCAT, SAT, CPT; and cultural and educational events.Students and parents have opportunities for on-campus, real-world college experiences.

Prescription for Success

Prescription for success is designed to increase the enrollment, retention and graduation rates of minority students. The program gives students a peer support system and provides social and cultural awareness Students must have 2.5 cumulative GPA or better and must be an active participant in the College Outreach Program. During their senior year in high school, students are required to complete a specially designed program to prepare them for life as a college student.
The program includes instruction in the following areas:
- How to complete a CF college application
- How to complete scholarship applications
- How to complete FAFSA and other financial aid forms
- Test taking strategies
- Study skills
- Leadership skills
- Etiquette seminars (classroom, social and business)
- CPT preparation
As a part of the program students will also receive mentoring, academic and enrollment advisement. Learn about Program Requirements here.
Shop Talk is designed to educate African-American men and women about the need for regular screening, early detection and healthy lifestyles in the prevention and treatment of breast and prostate cancers through workshops and cultural programs. Shop Talk enlists community cosmetologists and barbers to serve as liaisons to the community. This program is supported by Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research.
Marion County Health Department Dental Clinic

The Marion County Health Department Dental Clinic is conveniently located at the Hampton Center. This partnership with CF provides a broad range of dental services to those ages 4-20, while serving as a clinical site for the CF Dental Assisting program.

Hampton Center Film series is designed to add to the rich cultural environment in the West Ocala area. The series presents three high quality films, each followed by a brief discussion.
